Kathryn (Kathi) M. Holmes retired after a lengthy career in advertising, marketing and publishing.  She has written for both business and pleasure. Working full time and raising a family, Kathi spent nearly fifteen years diligently completing her college education, one class at a time. She began with a focus on counseling, conducting several support groups, and later switching to a communications major.

In 2008 Kathi suffered spinal cord damage and became paralyzed. While she was confined to a rehab center her husband, Charlie, was in and out of hospitals. He had quadruple bypass surgery and a below the knee amputation due to a diabetic infection.

Both Kathi and Charlie are retired and live in Minnetonka, Minnesota. They are the proud grandparents of two cherished granddaughters.
